On Lok Senior Health asked BFHL to design this Lifeways PACE Center, a unique all-inclusive center for the care of frail elderly. The project consists of 14,000 square feet of tenant improvements. The heart of the center is a large multipurpose room, which serves as the base for participant activities and provides convenient access to all areas of the facility; including dementia care, rehabilitation, a clinic, serving kitchen, and toilet and shower facilities. The design is tailored to PACE’s goals of creating highly functional, intuitive spaces which encourage community-based participant involvement and allow for individualized care.
